On a bike tour through the city, which is also suitable for less experienced cyclists, you will get the opportunity to get to know Dresden, the Elbe cycle path and your fellow students on two wheels. If you don’t have your own bike, we can provide you with rental bikes.

Please register in this OPAL course so that we have a rough estimate of the number of participants and especially the number of rental bikes needed. Thank you very much!

As at Hogwarts, there are also numerous (magical) laboratories in the Potthoff Building. The wizards scientific staff working there will show you the individual labs and answer your questions.

The meeting point for the guided tours is at 11:00 on the lawn in front of the Potthoff Building. From there we will take you to the labs in small groups.

You can have a look at the following laboratories:

• Railway operations laboratory
• Safety laboratory
• Railway construction laboratory
• Laboratory for electric railways
• Flight simulator
• Telematics laboratory
• VAMOS (11:30 a.m.)
• Duckie-Town (in English)

Except for Duckie-Town, all tours are in German, but definitely very interesting.

A tasty gourmet meal in the canteen is the first opportunity to get to know your fellow students and to ask the students from the student council all your questions about your studies.

We will meet at 12:45 pm in front of the student council office (POT/12). We will then form two groups and go to the Alte Mensa or the “Zeltschlösschen” canteen.

After an exciting morning in the labs and a delicious meal in the cafeteria, you can discover the city together with your fellow students and tutors in a playful tour of Dresden starting at 2 pm. You will get to know many important places in Dresden as well as our “listige” associations.

For the winning teams there might be a little reward. 😉

Meeting point for the city rally will be the meadow in front of the Potthoff-Bau at 2 pm. The groups will be divided up there.
