We democrats still stand together \u2013 and we’ll see each other on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 3 pm on Dresden’s Theaterplatz! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim of the demonstration is to set a strong civic signal on the eve of the European as well as local elections, and to call on people to go out to vote for democratic parties. The event is embedded in dozens of other demonstrations that will take place nationwide from May 23 to June 8. We need your energy for this – especially here in Saxony, where, in addition to representatives of the EU Parliament, the Dresden City Council, local councils (German: Ortschaftsr\u00e4te) and district councils (Stadtbezirksbeir\u00e4te) will also be elected! Together we are the firewall. It depends on each and every one of us! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be a diverse stage program at the demonstration: Speeches and live music from local as well as nationally known initiatives and celebrities \u2013 among others, the Dresden-based band 01099 will be performing.
