Meetings of the FSR
The meetings of the Fachschaftsrat Verkehrswissenschaften “Friedrich List” are scheduled every monday during the lecture period at 20:05 in the POT/13-room. At the meeting current developments at our faculty are discussed. Furthermore, news of the committees are spread, events are planed and different other topics debated.
The meetings are open to the public usually. Every interested guest may visit us and is warmly invited to attend the meetings.

PA German: A decision was made regarding how many required modules may remain uncompleted in the 3rd and 4th semesters while still being eligible for BAföG.
PA English: The transition from the old to the new Mobility Master’s program was approved.
Stuko: SYS-BÖV: One module will be eliminated; proposals for replacements are being accepted.
Stura: The new hardship policy was adopted.
Networking: Efforts are underway to organize an accreditation workshop via the VeTa.

Resolution on Online Meetings
The FSR is requested to resolve to hold the meetings on August 3 at 7:05 p.m. and on September 7 at 8:05 p.m. as online meetings. This resolution is subject to the Stura’s approval of the version of the Student Council Bylaws adopted on July 13.
The resolution was adopted without objection.
Update to the Equipment Policy
The “Policy on the Lending of FSR Equipment by the FSR Transportation Committee” has been revised.
The motion was approved without objection.
FSR Trip
As in previous years, the FSR trip is scheduled to take place in November to facilitate exchange and knowledge transfer among FSR members and candidates.
The funding request was approved without objection.
Committees
Summer Festival: The committee meeting to review the Summer Festival will take place on July 29 in Room 4 of the DS.
VeTa: There will be an informal networking event as part of the VeTa in Erfurt. If you’re interested, please contact Lennart.
Reports from Spokespersons and Treasurers
Treasurer: The summer party and canoe regatta have been settled.
Spokesperson: Summer University is tomorrow.
Miscellaneous
Verkehrtewelt: There will be a barbecue on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on the POT lawn.
Faculty Council: Thanks were expressed for the students’ participation in the Long Night of Science. Prof. Gerike is stepping down as dean; Prof. Okrin wishes to succeed her.
Continuation of the Student Council Bylaws
The presentation and discussion of the new Student Council Bylaws from last week continued
The motion to amend the Student Council Bylaws was approved with more than two-thirds of all votes.
Two-Examiner Rule in the Examination Regulations
There are plans to introduce a university-wide regulation that would require all exams to be graded by two examiners.
The topic was discussed in the plenary session. The final decision rests with the Senate.
Departments
The ESE department sought feedback on whether to make the ESE barbecue entirely vegetarian. There were 13 votes in favor, 12 against, and 1 abstention.
Reports from Spokespersons and Finance Officers
The financial settlement for the summer festival has been completed.
A broken foot was discovered on the pavilion during the summer party; the exact cause could not be determined. Therefore, the repair costs for the leg are to be split 50/50.
Committees
StuRa:
The Sommeruni (Summer University) will take place again this year and will be funded by StuRa.
The open letter regarding the situation at the civil engineering faculties (national civil engineering student council conference) was discussed; further information to follow.
Adoption of the supplementary budget plan, including an increase in the student contribution to StuRa, due to ongoing financial uncertainties with the university.
There will soon be a new StuRa website!!
Senate:
Adoption of the university’s position paper on security-relevant research; students in the Senate continue to propose amendments to it.
Adoption of the climate protection concept for TU Dresden.
Adoption of the voting procedure for the university elections, since the university wants to introduce online voting, which the students reject because online voting in the planned form is not verifiable and there are concerns that voter turnout will decline in coming years.
Student Council Network:
The FSR Wiwi (Economics) would like to hold a public viewing of the World Cup final outdoors on a lawn on campus. Details are still being planned.
The ESE (orientation week) for the winter semester was also discussed, including planning for the student club tour, joint activities, and the ESE for incoming/orientation students.
Security-relevant research also remains a topic here; some are considering further actions, and once things become more concrete, further information will follow on Instagram, etc.
Sustainable FSR Finances
The FSR Verkehr (Transportation) has had higher expenses than income every year, and will therefore have to either increase income or reduce expenses in the long run, since the reserves from the Covid years are now used up.
The FSR’s range of offerings should be restricted as little as possible, since it is important for many students and for the FSR’s connection to students; if cuts are needed, it’s better to trim individual events rather than cancel them outright.
Instead, it should be examined to what extent we can obtain sponsorships. A reasonable increase in participant fees could also be an option to avoid the financial burden on the FSR becoming too high.
The share that the FSRs receive from the student contribution to StuRa has not increased in several years, so an increase would be desirable.
Adoption of the new FO (Student Council Bylaws of FSR Verkehr)
There are many editorial changes, as some minor linguistic and content errors were noticed.
Changes were made to the definition of majorities in the FO, as well as regulations concerning the spokespersons and the FSR’s treasurer.
Adjustments were made to the rules for meetings, so that from now on online meetings will also be possible. This will, in particular, allow us to hold quorate meetings during the semester break.
The vote was postponed to the next meeting due to the scope of the changes, in order to allow further discussion of additional amendments. The new FO can be viewed on the website once it has been finalized and uploaded.
FA Game Night, July 16, 2026, 7:00 PM
The game night will be funded as usual with up to €15 for purchasing snacks.
Departments
Events: “How to Find the Paper You’re Looking For” by the DVWG (German Association for Transportation Sciences), Thursday at 6:30 PM in POT 168.
Orientation Students: There will be various themed tours for orientation week, which will be organized by us.
Public Relations – Newsletter: The newsletter is to be sent out this week. Topics include current events and the FSR’s “free rooms in the POT” service.
Report from Spokespersons and Treasurer
The summer party’s finances are currently being settled, which involves a great deal of work and will take some more time. Final figures can therefore only be expected in a few weeks.
Applications for FOSTER scholarships for student research projects are open again.
StuRa: Last Thursday there was a session, but nothing particularly importand happened as the supplementary budget plan had to be postponed.
Senate: The campus line is one of the most important current topics; the university is calling for the construction of the proper route.

Online sessions are not yet possible, but we are working on the new student council regulations (Fachschaftenordnung), which would then allow for this.

Sommerfest: Taking place on Wednesday — preparations are in full swing!
Student marketing: On Friday is the Long Night of Sciences; we are still looking for people who would like to support us — you’re very welcome to join!

Mr. X: Last Wednesday, eight groups chased each other around Dresden’s public transport network — it was great fun, and will definitely happen again next year!
Transport policy: On 1 July, the event Next Stop PhD/Dr. (in English) will take place — feel free to come along! On 9 July, there will be an event on AI and databases in the transport sector — more information to follow.
Faculty Council: Free hygiene supplies are now available at the faculty. Mobility-Magazin.de. Nominations for the 2026 Teaching Award can now be submitted via Opal. The AI policy is now in effect as a set of rules.
StuKo VWI: Module changes were discussed; due to staffing shortages, specialized tracks are to be eliminated. There are concerns regarding modules with minimum and maximum enrollment limits.
Networking: The next networking meeting is on Tuesday, June 30, at 6:30 p.m.
FA MV is doing good work
For the equipment lending service, a volleyball and a supply of blank buttons (also for internal use) are to be purchased.
The financial request is approved without objection.

MisterX: Will take place this Wednesday at Dies academicus as usual
Summer Party: The event is scheduled to end at 10:00 PM, with cleanup until 11:00 PM. The first duty roster will be distributed on Wednesday.
LNDW: The Long Night of Science will take place on June 26; volunteers are still needed. If interested, please contact Lukas Köhler.
ESE Pub Crawl: Melvin requests assistance in scouting out bars.
Canoe Regatta: We are encouraging further registrations.
Awareness: On June 22 at 4:40 p.m., an awareness workshop on the topics of event safety and de-escalation will take place in POT/13.

The broken door should be usable again by the time of the LNDW.
The Treasurer presents the annual financial statement: The FSR needs to cut costs.
Security requests that doors be locked, especially on weekends, even if they were already open.

The Intelligent Transportation Systems Appointments Committee has begun its work and invited applicants.

At FSR events, it will hopefully be possible to pay by card using a SumUp in the future; however, the setup is proving difficult.

The networking meeting of the FSRs is to take place soon, but scheduling is currently still proving difficult.
