1. Pavilion FSR Mechanical Engineering
   • A broken foot was discovered on the pavilion during the summer party; the exact cause could not be determined. Therefore, the repair costs for the leg are to be split 50/50.
2. Committees
   • StuRa:
     • The Sommeruni (Summer University) will take place again this year and will be funded by StuRa.
     • The open letter regarding the situation at the civil engineering faculties (national civil engineering student council conference) was discussed; further information to follow.
     • Adoption of the supplementary budget plan, including an increase in the student contribution to StuRa, due to ongoing financial uncertainties with the university.
     • There will soon be a new StuRa website!!
   • Senate:
     • Adoption of the university’s position paper on security-relevant research; students in the Senate continue to propose amendments to it.
     • Adoption of the climate protection concept for TU Dresden.
     • Adoption of the voting procedure for the university elections, since the university wants to introduce online voting, which the students reject because online voting in the planned form is not verifiable and there are concerns that voter turnout will decline in coming years.
   • Student Council Network:
     • The FSR Wiwi (Economics) would like to hold a public viewing of the World Cup final outdoors on a lawn on campus. Details are still being planned.
     • The ESE (orientation week) for the winter semester was also discussed, including planning for the student club tour, joint activities, and the ESE for incoming/orientation students.
     • Security-relevant research also remains a topic here; some are considering further actions, and once things become more concrete, further information will follow on Instagram, etc.
3. Sustainable FSR Finances
   • The FSR Verkehr (Transportation) has had higher expenses than income every year, and will therefore have to either increase income or reduce expenses in the long run, since the reserves from the Covid years are now used up.
   • The FSR’s range of offerings should be restricted as little as possible, since it is important for many students and for the FSR’s connection to students; if cuts are needed, it’s better to trim individual events rather than cancel them outright.
   • Instead, it should be examined to what extent we can obtain sponsorships. A reasonable increase in participant fees could also be an option to avoid the financial burden on the FSR becoming too high.
   • The share that the FSRs receive from the student contribution to StuRa has not increased in several years, so an increase would be desirable.
4. Adoption of the new FO (Student Council Bylaws of FSR Verkehr)
   • There are many editorial changes, as some minor linguistic and content errors were noticed.
   • Changes were made to the definition of majorities in the FO, as well as regulations concerning the spokespersons and the FSR’s treasurer.
   • Adjustments were made to the rules for meetings, so that from now on online meetings will also be possible. This will, in particular, allow us to hold quorate meetings during the semester break.
   • The vote was postponed to the next meeting due to the scope of the changes, in order to allow further discussion of additional amendments. The new FO can be viewed on the website once it has been finalized and uploaded.
5. FA Game Night, July 16, 2026, 7:00 PM
   • The game night will be funded as usual with up to €15 for purchasing snacks.
6. Departments
   • Events: “How to Find the Paper You’re Looking For” by the DVWG (German Association for Transportation Sciences), Thursday at 6:30 PM in POT 168.
   • Orientation Students: There will be various themed tours for orientation week, which will be organized by us.
   • Public Relations – Newsletter: The newsletter is to be sent out this week. Topics include current events and the FSR’s “free rooms in the POT” service.

   • The summer party’s finances are currently being settled, which involves a great deal of work and will take some more time. Final figures can therefore only be expected in a few weeks.
   • Applications for FOSTER scholarships for student research projects are open again.

2. Resolution on session dates during the lecture-free period
   • Resolved: 03 Aug (7:05 PM), 07 Sep (8:05 PM), and 05 Oct (8:05 PM)
   • Online sessions are not yet possible, but we are working on the new student council regulations (Fachschaftenordnung), which would then allow for this.

   • Sommerfest: Taking place on Wednesday — preparations are in full swing!
   • Student marketing: On Friday is the Long Night of Sciences; we are still looking for people who would like to support us — you’re very welcome to join!

   • StuKo VWI: Module changes were discussed; due to staffing shortages, specialized tracks are to be eliminated. There are concerns regarding modules with minimum and maximum enrollment limits.

     • Technical devices are now prohibited in the Commission for Responsibility in Science (KVW), and students are to be referred to only as senators.
     • Next year, university elections are also to be made available online. To this end, a delegation traveled to Kassel to review the source code of the election software.

   • The funding request for this year’s canoe regatta is approved without objection.

     • Another PC will be set up for the office
     • Cups and mugs should be washed as soon as possible, and the coffee grounds should be emptied daily

     • Work is still underway to resolve the technical issues with the distribution of the first newsletter

   • The student representatives met at the Rector’s Villa with vice-rectors, members of the Student Union (Stura), student senators, and TUD CCO Marion Schmidt to discuss developments regarding the Commission for Responsibility in Science (KVW).
   • Students from a Polish transport university would like to visit our faculty. A potential program will be discussed following the meeting.
   • The selection committee for the “Deutschlandstipendium” is seeking two students who do not wish to apply themselves. Registration for this will be available on OPAL.
   • An invitation was received for the Wiwi Championships on the weekend of Unitag (July 5–7): €150 for travel to and from the event as well as festival tickets.

   • For the next game night on 03/06, there will be snacks again; a funding application (FA) of €15 was approved for this purpose.
3. FA SumUp
   • The FSR wants to offer card payments in the future, which requires a device. SumUp is the only provider eligible for us due to the terms and conditions of various companies. A funding application of €100 was approved for the purchase of a device with a receipt printer.

   • Penta Games on Tuesday with 20 (!) teams — POT 81 was well filled, a very lovely event all around; the professorship of Dr. Ulrich Maschek won
   • Material rental: a table of all items available for loan from the FSR is now on the website → feel free to reach out to us for borrowing!
   • Summer festival: budget distribution: FSR Geo currently has limited funds, so the split is now 60/40 instead of 50/50, to be settled via a cooperation agreement
   • Paddleboat regatta: there will be a paddleboat regatta again this year, a suitable date is currently being sought
   • Student marketing: on 06/06 it’s University Open Day, we need many motivated helpers
   • Merchandise: clothing has been ordered, including helper shirts
   • VeTa (Transport Student Council Conference): study accreditation reviews programmes in feasibility of study; new students are being sought to participate

       Discussion on the amendment of the contribution regulations with an increase in the student fee due to financial discrepancies with TU. More specifically, this concerns funds from the possible partial reclaim of the student fee for the €9 ticket (June to August 2022) that were not claimed by students. As the deadline for reclaiming expired on 01/01/26, this money should rightfully go to Stura, but the university has not transferred it so far, which is why the funds that were originally budgeted are not available.
   • Senate:
     • Central topic here as well: the migration from the university’s mail servers to Microsoft servers
   • Networking – Networking meeting of the FSRs on 22/04:
     • Central topic here as well: the third-party funded project by Elbit Systems at our faculty and defence research in general
     • Orientation students: Further development of the offering is an important goal for this year, as they are based at our Faculty of Transport; if you know of any offerings for orientation students, feel free to send them to us (at fsrverkehr@tu-dresden.de)
     • Collaboration with international students – a challenge in many FSRs; we as FSR Verkehr also want to improve this and are currently working on it primarily within the international affairs department

Carsharing ist längst mehr ein Nischenangebot für Großstädte, es ist ein zentraler Baustein nachhaltiger urbaner Mobilität. Der Vortrag von Marcus Buchfeld, Regionalleiter teilAuto eG Dresden, beleuchtet am Beispiel der Stadt Dresden, wie sich Carsharing-Angebote in den vergangenen Jahren entwickelt haben und wie das Zusammenspiel von kommunaler Verwaltung und des Carsharing-Unternehmens teilAuto zu einem tragfähigen Gesamtsystem geführt hat.
