0. Formalities
   • The FSR is quorate at this meeting; the protocols of two previous meetings are approved.
1. Committees
   • Only the Study Commission for the Economics degree programmes and the Faculty Council have met. The most important point here is that, at the halfway point of the Deans’ term of office, there will be a handover between Prof. Gerike and Prof. Okhrin. This is currently being prepared.
2. Departments
   • ESE: Freshers’ Week has started; the only change to the programme was moving the barbecue evening to Tuesday lunchtime.
   • Orientation Year: As FSR Verkehr, we are responsible for the orientation-year students, so a campus rally was organised for their ESE. Cooperation with the other FSRs went very well, but communication with the office responsible on the university’s side proved difficult. The concept we students had developed was heavily altered without any prior consultation.
3. Reports from the Spokespersons and the Treasurer
   • Treasurer: An inventory of the FSR’s property was carried out during the semester break.
   • Spokespersons: A programme coordinator is currently being sought for the new Master’s programme Mobility Systems. The spokespersons will meet with the Dean’s Office again this week for a discussion.
4. Any Other Business
   • People who are new to the faculty and interested in the FSR are warmly invited to the next meeting on Monday, 12 October! It will include an introduction to the work of the FSR.

1. Pavilion FSR Mechanical Engineering

2. Committees
   • StuRa:
     • The Sommeruni (Summer University) will take place again this year and will be funded by StuRa.
     • The open letter regarding the situation at the civil engineering faculties (national civil engineering student council conference) was discussed; further information to follow.

     • Adoption of the climate protection concept for TU Dresden.
     • Adoption of the voting procedure for the university elections, since the university wants to introduce online voting, which the students reject because online voting in the planned form is not verifiable and there are concerns that voter turnout will decline in coming years.
   • Student Council Network:
     • The FSR Wiwi (Economics) would like to hold a public viewing of the World Cup final outdoors on a lawn on campus. Details are still being planned.
     • The ESE (orientation week) for the winter semester was also discussed, including planning for the student club tour, joint activities, and the ESE for incoming/orientation students.
     • Security-relevant research also remains a topic here; some are considering further actions, and once things become more concrete, further information will follow on Instagram, etc.
3. Sustainable FSR Finances
   • The FSR Verkehr (Transportation) has had higher expenses than income every year, and will therefore have to either increase income or reduce expenses in the long run, since the reserves from the Covid years are now used up.
   • The FSR’s range of offerings should be restricted as little as possible, since it is important for many students and for the FSR’s connection to students; if cuts are needed, it’s better to trim individual events rather than cancel them outright.
   • Instead, it should be examined to what extent we can obtain sponsorships. A reasonable increase in participant fees could also be an option to avoid the financial burden on the FSR becoming too high.
   • The share that the FSRs receive from the student contribution to StuRa has not increased in several years, so an increase would be desirable.
4. Adoption of the new FO (Student Council Bylaws of FSR Verkehr)
   • There are many editorial changes, as some minor linguistic and content errors were noticed.
   • Changes were made to the definition of majorities in the FO, as well as regulations concerning the spokespersons and the FSR’s treasurer.
   • Adjustments were made to the rules for meetings, so that from now on online meetings will also be possible. This will, in particular, allow us to hold quorate meetings during the semester break.
   • The vote was postponed to the next meeting due to the scope of the changes, in order to allow further discussion of additional amendments. The new FO can be viewed on the website once it has been finalized and uploaded.

   • The game night will be funded as usual with up to €15 for purchasing snacks.
