Survey on the Travel Behaviour of Students at TU Dresden

Dear students,

How do you get to university – on foot, by bike, by bus and train or by car?

The survey on travel behavior of students at TUD, which has been running since 6 May, focuses primarily on your daily commute to university and your personal mobility constraints. Where do you see room for improvement?

By participating in the survey, you can ensure that students’ mobility needs are seen and heard.

Participation only takes about 10 minutes and is anonymous.

The more of you who participate, the more visible the voice of students will be in the planning of mobility services at the university.

The Hunt for Mister X

On Dies Academicus, it’s that time again: we’ll be replaying the classic board game “Scotland Yard” in real life. And you can be part of it. Be in one of the groups chasing after Mr. X and trying to catch him. Or try the other side and be faster than the detectives with your group to escape them. 

Meeting point is on 21.05.25 at 11.00 am in the foyer of the Potthoff building (in front of the FSR office / POT 12). The game is played in small teams, one team member needs WhatsApp. We look forward to seeing you!

Sommerfest 2025

On June 18, our Sommerfest will take place again on the Potthoff-Wiese. This year for the first time together with the FSR Geo!
As usual, the focus will be on a cozy atmosphere. Take the opportunity to spend a summer evening together with your fellow students, staff and professors from the Faculties of Transport and Geo.
Look forward to a relaxed atmosphere, delicious food from the barbecue and cooled drinks from the bar trolley. You can also expect live music, a question wheel with small prizes and the stands of the student associations.

Kompass Hauptstudium 2025

Liebe VIW-Viertsemester,

nach diesem Semester beginnt für euch das Hauptstudium und ihr müsst eine
Vertiefungsrichtung für euch wählen.
Mit dieser für euren weiteren Studienverlauf und euer Berufsleben wegweisenden
Entscheidung lassen wir euch natürlich nicht allein.
Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe “Kompass Hauptstudium”, die wir gemeinsam mit
Spätverkehr und unserer Fakultät durchführen, möchten wir euch die einzelnen
Vertiefungsrichtungen aus verschiedenen Perspektiven vorstellen und dafür sorgen, dass
keine Fragen offen bleiben und ihr bestens informiert eure Vertiefung wählen und ins
Hauptstudium starten könnt!

Die drei Informationsveranstaltungen finden jeweils im POT/361 um 14.50 Uhr statt:

– Montag, 12. Mai: Vorstellung der Vertiefungen durch die Studienrichtungsleitenden
– Montag, 19. Mai: Studis des 8. Semesters stellen vor, wie ihre Vertiefung wirklich ist
– Montag, 2. Juni: Perspektiven nach dem Studium – Absolvent:innen erzählen, was man mit
dem Studium später anfangen kann

Unabhängig von der Vertiefungswahl überlegen vielleicht auch einige von euch, im Laufe
ihres Hauptstudiums ein Auslandssemester zu absolvieren. Dort werden Herr Dr. Krieg und
Herr Dr. Schade von unserer Fakultät sowie Frau Dr. Eisenlöffel aus dem International
Office euch mit allen Informationen versorgen, die ihr zum Studieren im Ausland braucht.
Der Termin für diese Veranstaltung ist noch in Klärung.

Eine weitere Veranstaltung ist geplant, um euch über die neue Studienordnung zu
informieren, die zum Wintersemester in Kraft treten soll. Eine zentrale Änderung besteht
darin, dass die Grundstudiumsnoten nicht mehr in die Endnote einfließen. Was sich noch
ändert und wie ihr übertreten könnt, erfahrt ihr an diesem Termin ebenfalls im POT/361:

– Montag, 16. Juni, 14:50 – 16:20 Uhr: Informationsveranstaltung zum Übertritt in die
neuen Ordnungen.

DVWG Impulse “Zukunftspläne zu Brücken in Sachsen”

Die Deutsche Verkehrswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e. V. (kurz DVWG) freut sich sehr, dass Stephan Berger, Abteilungsleiter Mobilität vom Sächsischen Staatsministerium für Infrastruktur und Landesentwicklung (SMIL), den aktuellen Stand der sächsischen Verkehrsinfrastruktur beleuchten und einen Ausblick auf die kommenden Entwicklungen geben wird.
Dabei stehen natürlich insbesondere die Zukunftspläne zu Brücken in Sachsen im Fokus.

Eine Anmeldung an sachsen@dvwg.de ist bis zum 15. Mai erforderlich.
