Verkehrte Welt, in cooperation with DB Station & Service, is once again offering all interested students a guided tour of Dresden Central Station. The current date is Thursday 16.06.2022 at 14:00, but this may be postponed again due to the pandemic. The tour lasts about three hours and is free of charge. We will meet at the main entrance (at the tram stop of lines 3 and 8) in the large hall, commonly known as “under the rope”. As we also want to climb the roof of the main station, the tour is unfortunately not barrier-free.

The Verein Verkehrte Welt is offering guided tours through dresden main station in cooperation with the station management DB Station & Service. It is planned to take a walk trough the underground as well as over the roof.

It will take place on 02.02.2022 at 2pm and 30.03.2022 at 1pm. We’re meeting in the great hall at the entrace close to the tram stops of line 3 and 8. Unfortunately, the tour is not barrier free in terms of mobility. Furthermore, it will be held in german. The tour is free.

For the tour, we ask you to sign up in this OPAL course. Please note that the excursion could be cancelled on short notice due to the corona pandemic.

Prof. Dr. Meng Wang leitet seit 1. Dezember 2021 die Professur für Verkehrsleitsysteme und -prozessautomatisierung. Er tritt damit die Nachfolge von Prof. Krimmling an. Prof. Wang ist in Peking aufgewachsen und hat dort studiert. 2009 wechselte er an die TU Delft (Niederlande) und promovierte dort. Er ist Mitbegründer und Leiter des Labores für elektrischen und automatisierten Verkehr. Über seine Beweggründe, an die Fakultät zu kommen, seine Forschungschwerpunkte und seine Ziele als neuer Leiter der Professur berichtet ein Interview, das in der Verkehrslage, dem Online-Magazin, veröffentlicht wurde.

Nach ziemlich genau 10 Jahren erfährt unsere Webseite eine umfangreiche Umgestaltung. Wir machen, wie sich das gehört, alles platt und fangen von vorn an. Dabei wurde auch die Seitenstruktur umfangreich umstrukturiert. Vieles ist dabei übersichtlicher und knapper geworden. Unter dem Fachschaftsrat bündeln wir alle Informationen, die uns als Gremium betreffen. Alle Inhalte zum Studium sind ebendort zu finden, insbesondere die Stundenpläne und die OPAL-Kurse der meisten aktuell stattfindenen Vorlesungen. Die Rubrik Service fasst unsere Serviceangebote zusammen. Diese werden jedoch aktuell genauso wie die Webseite modernisiert, sodass das Angebot im Moment weniger umfangreich als gewöhnlich ist. Unter Veranstaltungen sind all unsere Veranstaltungen, aber auch die von unseren Listigen Vereinigungen einsortiert. Unsere Listigen Vereinigungen und weitere Partner sind ebenfalls vertreten.
