The University election 2023 results are now public. Thank you very much for an incredible voter turnout of 35,6%, which means rank one throughout all the university’s student councils. We can be proud of this!

We are delighted that we have once again been able to recruit so many people for our important and fantastic student council work and would like to thank all candidates for their commitment. And of course, those who have not been elected or have not put themselves forward as a member can and should also get involved with us. So feel free to drop by at any time and get involved!

The first meeting of the new FSR will be the constituent meeting on 8 January 2024, where we will once again send all committee representatives. We have already compiled further information for you here.

Now that the results of this year’s FSR elections have been officially announced, the new FSR will be constituted on 8 January 2024. At this meeting, the FSR will also elect people who will represent the students of our faculty on various committees in the coming year. You are cordially invited to stand for election and take a place on a committee. This is possible for all committees in the following list, even if you have not been elected to the FSR:

  • StuRa representative and StuRa substitute representative (one person each)
  • Study Commission for Transport Engineering, Railway Systems Engineering, Air Transport and Logistics, Electrical Transport Systems (six persons)
  • Study Commission for Transport Economics, Transportation Economics (six persons)
  • Railway Systems Engineering Examination Board (two persons)
  • Examination Board Electrical Transport Systems (two persons)
  • Examination Board Air Transport and Logistics (two persons)
  • Examination Board Transportation Economics (one person)
  • Examination Board for Transport Engineering (two persons)
  • Examination Board Transport Economics Bachelor (two persons)
  • Examination Board Transport Economics Master (one person)
  • Institute Council for Transport Planning and Road Traffic (two persons)
  • Institute Council for Economics and Transport (two persons)

Unfortunately all the committees meet in German. To run for one of these committees, please register in the corresponding OPAL course. Registration there is open until 8 January 2024 at 7 pm (one hour before the start of the meeting). Enrolment for the FSR Speaker’s Office and Finance Office also takes place in the OPAL course, but this is only possible for elected FSR members.

When you enrol, the OPAL course will contain brief descriptions of the respective positions so that you can find out how the respective committees work and what they are responsible for. The current members of the committees will also be happy to provide you with more detailed information (you can find the contact email addresses on the respective website) or you can simply contact us by email or in person at the FSR office.

Der Ausbau der Straßenbahn beschäftigt nicht erst seit der Planung der Campuslinie viele Dresdner. Du hast eine Meinung oder eine Idee, wohin die Tram als Nächstes fahren sollte?

Dann komm zu unserem Diskussionsabend am Mittwoch, den 17. Januar 2023 um 18:30 Uhr im POT 13 der Fakultät Verkehrswissenschaften. Dort kannst du mit Studierenden und Mitarbeitenden der Uni über die aktuellen und zukünftigen Herausforderungen und Chancen der Straßenbahn in Dresden reden.

WUS-Förderpreis 2024 – Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung –

Im Rahmen des Nationalen Aktionsplans der UN-Agenda 2030 zeichnet der World University Service (WUS) Deutsches Komitee e.V. Abschlussarbeiten aus, die sich mit den Sustainable Development Goals, Fragen rund um eine Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung, Globales Lernen oder das Menschenrecht auf Bildung beschäftigen. Der Preis wird an Absolventinnen und Absolventen deutscher Hochschulen vergeben, die im Kalenderjahr 2023 eine Abschlussarbeit (Master oder äquivalenter Abschluss) in deutscher oder englischer Sprache eingereicht haben. Bachelorarbeiten und Dissertationen sind von der Preisvergabe ausgeschlossen. Weitere Informationen sind hier zu finden. Die Bewerbungsunterlagen sollen bis zum 28. Februar 2024 eingereicht werden.

Election Time!

this year’s university elections will take place this week between 5 and 7 December. Just come to the election stand directly in front of our FSR office between 10.30am and 5pm. There you can vote for your student council, faculty council and senate. You can see here whom you can vote for. You can find further information on the university elections here.

PS: We also have a stand there with mulled wine and non-alcoholic punch for free. Just bring your own cup and we’ll fill it up for you!
