Neubesetzung Berufungskommission Schienenfahrzeugtechnik

Mai, 19:00 Uhr in diesem OPAL-Kurs möglich.

Semesterticket upgrade to the Deutschlandticket possible

Some of you are probably already eagerly awaiting the introduction of the Deutschlandticket on 1 May 2023, which will enable travel on local and regional transport throughout Germany.

After long negotiations, the StuRa was able to reach an upgrade solution where you can upgrade your semester ticket to a Deutschlandticket by paying the difference (17,30€ per month) between the semester ticket and the Deutschlandticket.

You can now book this upgrade on this website.

All further information can be found on the StuRa website.

Members wanted for an appointment committee for a professorship in the field of public transport

The FSR-Transport is looking for members for an appointment committee to fill a professorship in the field of public transport. You can read all further information in this document. Enrollment is also possible in this OPAL course. Candidatures of female students are especially welcome in view of gender equality requirements.

The appointment should take place at the FSR meeting on 8 May at 20:05, so that the appointment committee can probably be confirmed in the Faculty Council on 15 May. In case of a candidacy, it would be desirable if you could be present at the FSR meeting (in presence or online).

If you have any further questions, you can always contact us by email or just drop by the FSR office.

Discussion evening on high-speed rail lines: Is it all just prestige?

In recent years, major Deutsche Bahn projects have repeatedly been the subject of controversial discussions, be it Alpha-E, the Stuttgart-Ulm rail project, or the German Unification projects.

But are high-speed lines really necessary, or should the scarce money for infrastructure be invested differently instead? We will discuss this together with graduates of our faculty. Come to our discussion evening on 04.05. at 18:30 in POT 13, drinks will be provided.

OPAL course overview for the summer semester published

The well-known OPAL course overview for all degree programmes of the faculty is now published on our website and refers to all OPAL courses of the respective compulsory courses. Click here to go directly to the degree programmes

If you find any other OPAL courses or would like to have a particular course added, please let us know by email.

We wish you a good start into the new semester!

First version of the timetables for the summer semester published

The Deanery has now uploaded a first version of the timetables on their website, which you can find here:

We would have liked to make the schedules available to you earlier, but we have to wait for the faculty to publish the schedules and correct any errors they contain. Unfortunately, the schedules that have now been published still contain some discrepancies (e.g. exercise dates that lie parallel to compulsory lectures), so there may still be some changes. As soon as the discrepancies have been clarified and we have updated timetables available, we will also make them available on our website as usual.

Likewise, the Opal course overview follows here as soon as as as many related courses as possible have been created in Opal.

We want YOU as POT re-designer

The time has come: our Potthoff-Bau is finally to be freshened up and redesigned on the inside.

We students will have a voice in deciding exactly what the POT will look like and how it will be designed in the future. To do this, a working group with employees, professors and students is being set up to work out the exact details in cooperation with the Dean’s Office and Prof. Henning Haupt (Professor of Design at the Faculty of Architecture).

A first kick-off meeting will take place on 30 March at 14:00 (2 p.m.).
The meetings will be held in German only!

If you are interested in joining the working group, you can sign up for the following OPAL course. At the next FSR meeting on 20 March, we will then send three people who can participate as permanent members. This time, however, the working group is not as formal as many of our other committees: you can sign up at any time and then resign after a few meetings if you think someone else could fill the position better. Even if you are only interested in the working group without being a permanent member, this is possible and you can always get in touch with us about it.

We look forward to your active participation!
