The Dresden Museum of Transport invites for Saturday, 05.11.2022, to the “Career Day” in the Johanneum at the Dresden Neumarkt.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., companies from the (transport) technical sector will present their internship, training and study opportunities. Admission to the Transport Museum and the training fair is free for all visitors on this day!

We as a faculty are also represented there with a booth, but also other companies that might be interesting for you as students.

The new Digital Teaching Team at the Department of Building and Environment has set itself the goal of increasing and improving digital teaching. The results of a survey are to form the basis for this.

Welche Lerntechnik ist für mich geeignet? Wie kann ich konzentriert und effizient die Aufgaben meines Studiums bewältigen? Der Workshop “Lern- und Arbeitstechniken” der von unserer Fakultät organisiert wird, beantwortet dir die Frage, welcher Lerntyp du bist und zeigt dir, wie du effektive Lerntechniken für dein Studium nutzen kannst.

Der Workshop dauert 90 Minuten. Es stehen zwei Termine zur Auswahl:

• Donnerstag, 24.11.2022, 09:20–10:50 Uhr im POT/161.
• Dienstag, 29.11.2022, 16:40–18:10 Uhr im POT/168.

Wir freuen uns auf zahlreiche Teilnahme!

Currently, the Saxon Higher Education Act (SächsHSFG) is being amended, i.e. rewritten and changed. This offers the opportunity to change and improve problematic or student-unfriendly passages. After all, the SächsHSFG regulates almost everything that affects us in our studies – from examination conditions or the compensation of disadvantages to the co-determination opportunities of students in university committees or the social responsibility of universities.

The Konferenz sächsischer Studierendenschaften (KSS), which includes members of our StuRa, has prepared a statement on the law and submitted it to the State Ministry of Science. In order to emphasize the demands contained therein, there will be a demonstration in front of the State Chancellery on Monday, 17.10.2022 from 16:00, in which members of the FSR Verkehr will also participate. The meeting point is at 15:45 at Carolaplatz.

The demonstration will take place under the name “Revolution Studium”. You can find the collected positions here. Among other things, they deal with the following points:

• Unlimited examination attempts
• Exclusion of compulsory attendance in courses
• equal decision-making rights for all member groups of the university and greater influence of the students on the policies of the university
• The abolition of all tuition fees
• Mandatory development and evaluation of sustainability strategies for the university

The KSS is looking forward to a large attendance!

Wir möchten alle Studis, insbesondere die neuen Erstis, ganz herzlich zur ersten Sitzung des FSR Verkehr im neuen Semester am Montag, den 10.10.2022 um 20:05 in den Zeichensaal (POT/168) einladen. An der Sitzung kann man auch unter diesem Link online teilhaben. Stimmrecht können aufgrund einer Entscheidung des StuRa aber nur diejenigen Mitglieder haben, die in Präsenz an der Sitzung teilnehmen!

Der FSR-Verkehr tagt jeden Montag um 20:05 und bespricht dabei viele wichtigen Dinge für die Fakultät und Fachschaft. Teilnehmen kann jede und jeder, egal ob er gewähltes Mitglied des FSR ist, dem sogenannten Dunstkreis (aktive nicht gewählte Mitglieder) oder den Altlasten (ehemalige Mitglieder des FSR) angehört – oder sich einfach nur spontan dazu gesellen möchte, um ein paar interessante Infos zur aktuellen Arbeit des FSR zu hören. Wenn ihr Fragen habt, könnt ihr uns sowohl vor als auch während der Sitzung jederzeit fragen und wir erklären euch gerne die Unklarheiten.

On 12 October 2022 at 6.30 p.m. (admission from 6.10 p.m.), at POT/06, the Saxony District Association of the German Transport Science Society will be hosting a specialist event with panel discussion on the topic of “Transport in Dresden – Where is the journey heading?”

Following three short and informative keynote speeches by Lutz Auerbach from Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe GmbH, Martin Gawalek from Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG and Frank Fiedler from the City Planning Office of the State Capital Dresden, these three key players in Dresden’s transport will engage in conversation with each other and the auditorium during an interesting and insightful panel discussion. The event will be chaired by Prof. Arnd Stephan, holder of the professorship for electric railways at the TU Dresden and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Saxony District Association.
